POMELO FRUIT // KAMBILI NARANGA

 There was a fruit tree, Kambili Naranga in front of the Cholakathu Veedu. When we were there, some one would bring them down for us. We really enjoyed eating  the fruit. When we were travelling to Niranam or on our return to Thalavady by Vallom, the country boat, through  Pamba River and the adjoining canals there would be a large number of Kambili Narangas accompanying us. None were  left when we completed the journey.

It has an English name that I never knew till now.

We now have the tree in our compound in Trivandrum.

We gifted a few to Lila's nephew recently.

He sent us a 'Thank you' note for gifting them Pomelo Fruit.

Now our nephew has taught us  Kambili Naranga is Pomelo Fruit.
