Fiction is the lie through which we tell the truth

 All novels, if they are successful, are conveying a truth.

Albert Camus said, "Fiction is the lie through which we tell the truth"

The beauty of writing is, while the writer provides the words, the readers provide their imagination.

The novel resonates with the reader when it strikes a chord in him. It fails when it hammers generalised lessòns.
