Someone read my earlier post, "April 18, 2025 Good Friday Worship at Christ Church"
And wrote
"While cooking my thoran, this well curated article kept coming back to me - and also our back and forth onit. You see, we also have elderly folks having their moments in our churches. A strange thought came to my mind - ‘if I were the elderly person going through a health crisis during service, would I like to have the service be put on hold for me?’ The question stunned me."
I responded
"I wrote because we had been through that 23 years ago.
The event invoked memories of what we had underwent.
We felt, for the Church, rituals were more important than the people who populate it.
It was no different this time too.
Time has not dented the imperiousness even a bit.
What the sufferers need is a touch. A word. A presence. A fellowship.
It doesn't matter at all to the sick as they are not awake.
But it matters to the living"
